2. Overview of the LSFMD

The Los Santos Fire & Medical Department is one of the busiest and demanding factions in Los Santos. People are constantly getting injured, there are fights between gangs and Law Enforcement Officers all the time, causing injury to them, and it can get very hectic at times. However, the LSMFD can also be one of the most fun factions there are, and there’s a lot of things to do and a lot of levels and departments to join and reach in the LSFMD.

When you are recruited into the LSFMD, you are automatically defaulted to the Medical Department. This is the basic department at the start, it is also the most important for people to be in. This is the department that is most often going out in the Ambulances and saving the lives of the injured people in Los Santos, and is relied upon by everyone.

3. Basic Duties

The basic duty of the LSFMD is to help the hurt, the mental and anyone that seeks help. We are not here to make sure everyone is walking straight and making sure everything is done perfect. We are here to provide a safe environment for each and every civilian. Always remember, "we are a life-saving organization, not a life-taking organization." Everything we do should influence the community in a positive way. If the High Command believes that at any time you are straying away from the basic duty, you will be let go, no questions asked.

On Duty

Be on duty at all times, we may need you if someone is hurt, had an accident or even is dying. You don't know what is coming around the corner. There could be a car crash, anything. Please get on duty and stay on duty and always announce you are on duty at all times in the (/radio) channel.

Off Duty

Announce that you are off duty, give a reason, a good one, and never use /d if you are off duty. If you are off duty and using an ambulance or any LSFMD vehicle you will be let go. Please follow the rules or you will be let go.

4. Chain of Command

6. LSFMD DIVISIONS:

6.1 Traning & Recruitment (T&E)

Traning & Recruitment (T&E) Division is to recruit new LSFMD members who are interested joining the Faction. The Traning & Recruitment Duties include:

- Accepting/Denying Applications
- Giving an Applicant an Interview/Ride along
- Providing RP help to other LSFMD Members

Accepting or Denying Applications is the first step in attempting to get into LSFMD. This is the second most important part in being a Traning & Recruitment as to make sure that we are not letting people join who are faction banned etc.

Giving an Applicant an Interview or Ride along is the first most important part to make sure that the applicant can show their medical knowledge and their location skills.

You must remember that you are not only to do applications and interviews or ride longs but to make sure that the members who are in LSFMD still have a good understanding of RP, medical knowledge and locating.

6.2 Life Flight (LF)

Life Flight (LF) Division is used where Ambulances cannot go, such as mountains, top of buildings or the sea. The Life Flight duties include:

- Flying to the Scene
- You will give the advanced support where Ambulances cannot go or reach.

It will be your duty to make sure you save people from locations that are unreachable by ambulances you will be working hard getting on scene to the patient in tough locations, this may include going on top of building and going out across the sea.

You will have access to using Helicopters depending on the situation or location of the patient for when someone calls in for Life Flight Service.
This could also be used to transport patients if an Ambulance is far from an hospital which gives the patient a very high chance to survive depending on the patients condition that (s)he has suffered.

6.3 Fire Department(FD)

Fire Department (FD) Division is used when someone reports a Fire, Fire Alarm or anything Fire hazard that may occur, the Duties include:

- Using Fire Trucks
- Making sure the Scene / public safety is all in order
- Making sure any Fires are put out and making any Fire Hazard safe to the public

When Someone reports a Fire, you will be dispatched to tackle the fire hazard until the fire hazard is safe for public use, you will also attend to any building when Fire Alarms are going off and try to find the cause of why the Fire Alarms went off, you will also asses if there is a hazard issue before leaving the scene as you will need to protect the whole community.

You will also make sure that all public members are out of any burning building, vehicle or a building with Fire Alarms going off, you will also make sure that the area cannot be accessed by public members after a fire in case the building is not stable enough.

7. COMMANDS ((OOC))

/LSFMD :

This is the command you will use often to get your gear at the lockers. Every hospital and HQ has a locker. so you can run to those lockers and type /LSFMD. You can:
Go on duty or off duty
Get weapons, Kelver and First aid kits
Change your skin dependant
Become a civilian

/R :

The radio is the prime method of communication within the LSFMD. It allows you
to talk between your own members in the LSFMD and the members in the
other divisions. As we are an emergency service, we depend heavily upon
the radio to respond properly to emergencies in Los Santos. It is for this
reason that spamming, (( long OOC conversations )) and flaming will not be
tolerated in the radio. It is used for proper communication with the higher
ranked members when required, and for the higher ranked members to be
able to properly give commands and receive necessary information from
members to be able to function correctly as the most popular emergency service.

For this reason, anybody who abuses the radio in ways such as mentioned above,
and does not stop after being warned by the highest rank on duty, (( Whether IC
or OOC )) will be eligible for disciplinary actions and/or kicks.

/D:

This radio is a link between all the departments and allows communication with them. To be used only by R3+ members. The lower rank members can only use this in emergencies or with permission from a Higher rank.

/M :

The megaphone command gives the things you say a longer distance to travel, and is yellow noticeable. You can only use the megaphone for RP reasons. not to shout out "Hey!" to your friend in the distance. Abusing the megaphone will be subjected to disciplinary actions, rank down/kick. This is normally used to tell traffic to give way when you are transporting a patient. such as, "LSFMD emergency. Please carfully pull over to the right!"

/HEAL [ID][$40] :

LSFMD members can heal any person with 99 Health or below. Although this command is a direct way of healing, I suggest you RP the situation and just use this for OOC healing so that the person is under no more further threats.

/GETPT [ID] :

This command is used to recieve patients when a distress call is issued. though it can also be used if a patient hasn't given a distress signal. but you know they're dying and have thier ID. it will direct you to their beacon, The place that they are dying. and upon arrival, if thier health is below a certain point, They will get their health back so you can perfom emergency life saving techniques to them.

/LOADPT [ID][Seat#] :

This command is used to load the patient into the ambulance, The syntax for it is /loadpt [id][seat] where seat bust alwayse be 2 or 3. The driver seat is seat 0. while the passenger seat is seat 1. That is why these two cannot be used.

/DELIVERPT [ID] :

This command is one of the easiest ones. Once the patient is successfully loaded into the medical vehicle your drive to a /deliverpt point. (indicated by a heart).

/LISTPT :

This command is used to list patients who has send out a distress call..

/DISPATCH :

This Command is use to send units over to control who accepts medic calls. Use by R3+..

/MEMBERS :

Members of the Los Santos Fire & Medical Department may use this command to see all of the members in the LSFMD.

/INVITE :

Members who have Leadership may only use this command, when you /invite [Players ID] it will send the a message saying you requested them to join the Department, when they accept they will be put into the Department as Rank 0 (Probationary)

/UNINVITE or /OUNINVITE :

Members who have Leadership may only use this command, when you /uninvite a player they will be removed from the faction, their skin will be set to a random one and they will lose all of their LSFMD abilities.

8. Respect and Hierarchy:

1 - You need to respect each member of LSFMD, whatever your rank.
2 - Each member is entitled to give orders to any member from junior staff members (rank 2 and 3). The Trainees (rank 1) that are being tested, so they are the responsibility of rank 2 and up.
3 - Each member is entitled to refuse an order if it is considered not permissible. He must justify it to ranks 5 and 6 members.
4 - An order cant be given only in the work context. A junior member must not become the lackey of his superior.
5 - Any conflict will be resolved in private with a rank 4, 5 or 6.

9. Vehicles and Maintenance:

*LSFMD Vehicles should be used only for professional use not personnal use.

1 - The Ambulances are available to all members of the LSMFD.
2 - The Firetruck is only to be used with Permissions from Rank 5 & 6.
3 - The Helicopter can be used by a LF member in cases of absolute necessity. Its considered an absolutely necessary support and recovery of an injured person in an inaccessible place by any other means.
4 - All vehicles must show no damage. A repair should be performed whenever the vehicle is damaged unless an intervention is underway.
5 - Regularly check the fuel level of your vehicle.
6 _ If found driving any vehicle not authorized for you and without permission, you will be warned/kicked.
7 - All LSFMD members must remember to park it in the correct location. It is extremely important that after doing your duties you park your vehicle into the appropriate parking location, you must disable the lights, engine, radio and ensure that the vehicle has at least 70% of a full tank.
